These aerial images capture the progress of the mixed-use development at Drexel Town Square. Since construction began in spring of 2014, WISPARK LLC, the real estate development subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, in partnership with the City of Oak Creek, has transformed the 85-acre site into a place to live, conduct city business, access library resources, shop, dine and work.

This image (above) looks southeast over the Drexel Town Square development with the Meijer store and fueling station in the center. This image also shows the retailers along W. Drexel Avenue including left to right Water Street Brewery, Chick-Fil-A, PetSmart, and Mattress Firm. The image also notes the location of the future site of the Marriott Towneplace Suites hotel which will be directly east of the Town Square. Just south of the Town Square is the Oak Creek Civic Center (City Hall and Public Library). The image also shows the location of two apartment developments. The apartments – Forge & Flare and Emerald Row - will feature quality living spaces on the upper floors with retail stores, including restaurants, on the street level. Both apartment complexes also feature underground parking for residents.

Looking north, this photo (above) shows the western boundary of Drexel Town Square at S. 6th Street and the northern boundary at W. Drexel Avenue. At lower left is the wetlands park which includes storm retention ponds; habitat for wildlife including birds, butterflies and honey bees; and walking trails.
The center of the photo features the Oak Creek Civic Center (City Hall and Library) and Town Square as well as the Emerald Row apartments (under construction). At the top center are the Forge & Flare apartments (under construction). East of the Town Square is the future site of the Marriott TownePlace Suites hotel. At upper right, with access from Drexel Avenue, is the building housing PetSmart and Mattress Firm. At the right edge of the photo is the Meijer store and the Meijer parking lot.
